Precision Moving Company has a 2 hour minimum for moving and packing services.
After 2 hours, we bill in 15 minute increments.
Our billing begins when we leave our warehouse at 495 Columbia Street Somerville MA (on the Somerville/ Cambridge line) and continues until we return.
We require a $200 deposit to book a move.
Large appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, freezers and stoves) carry a fee of $10 each.
Pianos carry a fee of $100 for a spinet, $150 for an upright, $175 for a baby grand . Each flight of stairs for a piano carry is $25.
Parking permits for the moving truck: Parking permits for Boston are available through Precision Moving Co. at a rate of $140 per location. Brookline parking permits are available through Precision Moving Co. at a rate of $140 per location. Parking meters are an additional $29 per meter. Cambridge parking permits are $60 per location. Somerville parking permits are $150 per location. Parking permits are recommended for any address where parking the truck close to the access door would be otherwise difficult. Parking permits are required for Beacon Hill, the North End, many streets in the South End and other areas in Boston. It is possible to obtain parking permits yourself at Boston City Hall. Bring 2 checks with you. The parking signs for the moving truck must be posted 4 days in advance, allowing 45 feet of parking for one truck. Please hang the signs in a way that the rear end of the moving truck (with room for a 15 foot ramp) will be positioned close to the access door to your residence.
Tolls are paid by the customer, as necessary.
All storage is priced with a one month minimum.
